Can a story be considered an African literature if written in English Language? Does English Language accurately capture the diverse African experiences or proverbs? Should African Writers write in their mother tongues? Are African writers pressurized to change their tone for global readership?

Who is an African storyteller? What language should his story be conveyed?

The 2019 Author’s Talk brought together writers and book-lovers from across the country to dialogue on the above questions. Writers debated, shared their perspectives, argued and disagreed to agree on the relationship between the African Writer and the English Language.
