It is not just enough to provide education for the female child, it is also important that they are introduced to the education that does not occur in classrooms because when approaching real life challenges, there is a need for girls to be ready with real life skills to triumph over multiple community-based issues. The Southwest Coordinator, Pelumi Grillo created the ‘Bridging the gap between then and now,’ project to dialogue with a small group of community women on what use to be; and what should be happening to effect a sustainable change in the rural community in Ikotun, Lagos, Nigeria.
